Get Certified and Licensed as a Professional Homeopath

NAHE awards Board Certification to qualified practitioners and is here to help you obtain your Professional Homeopathy License. Review the qualifications and steps below and apply to take the exam to get started.

The HPLEX serves for both the CHP Certification through NAHE, and the LHP License through the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medical Examiners (AHIME).

The LHP License is available to applicants who graduated from an ACHENA accredited school, OR another school approved by AHIME, and who have passed an exam approved by AHIME, including the HPLEX. 

The CHP Certification is completely separate of the LHP License and exists as an additional credential available to ACHENA school graduates.

Homeopathy Board Certification (CHP)

The CHP designation through NAHE provides credibility as a highly trained and competent practitioner, and is the ONLY certification in the US distinguishing your accredited homeopathy training.

Eligibility Requirements:

No residency requirements.

For practitioners trained in North America:

  • Successful completion of an ACHENA accredited program.

For practitioners trained outside North America and/or at a non-accredited school:

  • Successful completion of an ACHENA accredited program through an advanced standing pathway. Contact an accredited program for more information on an advanced pathway to graduation.

For seasoned practitioners:

  • If you received your homeopathy education prior to 2015 and your program was not accredited at the time of your education, please contact us for more information on an individual eligibility review.

Application Process:

  • Submit application and $25 application fee.
  • Pass the HPLEX (or have passed the CHC exam prior to May of 2025**).
  • Renew certification every 2 years – $300 renewal fee, 30 CEUs.

**For applicants who passed the CHC exam prior to May of 2025, complete the application below, upload your CHC verification letter and the HPLEX exam requirement will be waived.

Total cost with hPLEX exam: $275

Homeopathy Professional License (LHP)

The professional license through the AZ Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners (AHIME) offers a formal recognition of homeopathic practice and provides additional credibility and professional standing for practitioners across the United States.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legal US resident.

For practitioners trained in North America:

  • Successful completion of an ACHENA accredited program.

For practitioners trained at a non-accredited school:

  • Successful completion of an ACHENA accredited program through an advanced standing pathway. Contact an accredited program for more information on an advanced pathway to graduation.

Licensing Process through AHIME:

  • Pass an exam approved by AHIME: HPLEX or CHC exam*.
  • Complete AHIME application documents and pay $250 license application fee.
  • Upon AHIME application approval, pay $150 license fee.
  • License renewals are annual – $250 renewal fee and 15 CEUs required.

*If you have passed the CHC exam, you do not need to sit for the HPLEX. Proceed to the AHIME License Application.
