Applicant Attestations
Maintaining ethical standards and conduct and adhering to Fitness to Practice requirements are essential for all homeopathy practitioners and are required for 1) obtaining and retaining the Certified Homeopathy Practitioner (CHP) credential, and 2) applying to sit for the HPLEX exam for the purposes of licensure and/or certification. Applicants and certified professionals are required to provide truthful responses to compliance-related inquiries throughout the credentialling process.
As part of this process, applicants must accurately answer questions regarding their fitness to practice. Any changes related to legal or health status that impact one’s ability to practice under the CHP certification must be reported to NAHE in writing within thirty days. Failure to report such changes may lead to disciplinary actions, including application denial or revocation of certification. Possessing a legal or health-related issue does not automatically disqualify applicants from credentialling, provided it does not compromise their ability to practice safely. All eligibility reviews are conducted by the NAHE Director with additional assessments performed by NAHE Advisory Board members when necessary. Applicants under review are informed of the process and final decisions. Compliance-related responses are treated as confidential and are only disclosed when legally required or upon written request by the applicant.
Ethical Responsibilities
Certified practitioners and HPLEX exam applicants serve as representatives of the homeopathy profession and must adhere to the highest ethical standards, as outlined in the NAHE Practitioner Code of Conduct. All applicants and certified professionals commit to upholding these standards in their practice and client interactions.
Ethical Attestations
*
NAHE upholds the highest standards in homeopathy practice. CHP practitioners and HPLEX exam applicants for licensure are expected to practice according to the fundamental homeopathic principles set forth by Samuel Hahnemann in The Organon of the Medical Art, ensuring their practice aligns with well-established homeopathic methodologies, including: i. The principle of healing through similars ii. The individualized approach to treatment iii. The preparation and potentization of remedies iv. The use of a single, most well-indicated remedy at a time v. The application of the minimum dose vi. The consideration of the totality of the client's characteristic symptoms CHP practitioners shall acknowledge and respect the deep-acting effect of homeopathic remedies. They will prescribe remedies based on a thorough assessment of the client’s unique symptom picture and in accordance with homeopathic principles of healing. The practitioner will strive to facilitate genuine restoration of health, avoiding actions that may lead to symptom suppression or imbalance.
I confirm that I have reviewed the NAHE Practitioner Code of Conduct and practice in alignment with its principles.
