Advancing Homeopathy Certification and Licensing

NAHE was founded to help professional homeopaths obtain the highest levels of homeopathy credentialing, allowing them to validate their expertise, build trust with clients, and contribute to the advancement of homeopathy as a respected healthcare discipline.

Advancing Homeopathy Board Certification and Licensing

North American Homeopathy Examiners (NAHE) is a public benefit corporation in service to the profession of homeopathy and the agencies that license practitioners of homeopathy by providing a Homeopathic Board Certification and developing, managing, and administering the Homeopathy Practitioner Licensing Exam (HPLEX).

NAHE was established by leaders in homeopathy education with a vision to create a Board Certification and Licensing Exam appropriate for graduates of accredited homeopathy schools and programs.

Standards of Homeopathy Practice

NAHE embraces and upholds the highest standards of homeopathy practice as set forth by Samuel Hahnemann in The Organon of the Medical Art. Practitioners who have recieved accredited homeopathy training and who practice under the CHP Board Certification are expected to practice in alignment with well-established homeopathic methodologies, including:

i. The principle of healing through similars
ii. The individualized approach to treatment
iii. The preparation and potentization of remedies
iv. The use of a single, most well-indicated remedy at a time
v. The application of the minimum dose
vi. The consideration of the totality of the client's characteristic symptoms

The Importance of Educational Accreditation

Educational accreditation is a fundamental expectation across all legitimate healthcare disciplines and is crucial to the field of homeopathy. Accredited homeopathy schools adhere to rigorous, widely recognized standards of education and clinical training, ensuring excellence in the profession. These accreditation standards require that:

  • Schools are legally authorized to operate as educational institutions.
  • Schools participate in ongoing quality improvement through self-assessment and peer review.
  • Students receive high-quality, relevant instruction through a comprehensive and current curriculum.
  • Faculty and clinical supervisors are highly qualified, experienced homeopaths and educators.
  • Student assessment and grading procedures are fair, transparent, and unbiased.
  • Students’ educational investments are safeguarded through equitable refund policies and clearly defined grievance procedures.
  • Clinical competencies are thoroughly assessed, ensuring that graduates provide safe and effective homeopathic care to clients.

Graduating from an accredited homeopathy program enhances a practitioner’s credibility and fosters consumer trust. Educational accreditation is essential for public protection and the advancement of professionalism within the homeopathy community. Learn more about ACHENA Accreditation.
